This week we discuss John Krasinski's apocalyptic horror film "A Quiet Place." Keith tries to make Cassidy guess movie titles just by the Rotten Tomato blurbs, and at the end of the show we review the Netflix Original dark comedy "Girlfriends Day."

227 - Ready Player One

This week we talk about Steven Spielberg's new action blockbuster, "Ready Player One," based on the famed novel of the same name, and we play a voicemail by a listener who worked on the movie's special effects. We also talk about the possibility of a female Indiana Jones movie, James Wan's "Tommyknockers" remake, and the reshoots troubling this year's X-Men output. At the end of the program, we review the 2006 drama "Half Nelson" for our Netflix Homework.

226 - Thoroughbreds

Keith and Cassidy get back on the review wagon with discussions about the satirical new teen thriller "Thoroughbreds" and last year's "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales." This comes with a heap of hot movie news about Danny Boyle directing the new Bond film, Ava Duverne directing a movie about DC's New Gods, and a "Men in Black" reboot supposedly in the works, starring Thor: Ragnarok's Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson.

225 - Oscars 2018

Ashley Laurence joins us again to tally up the Oscar predictions we made in Episode 222. We also talk about other Academy Awards highlights including fashion choices, Jimmy Kimmel's comedy bits, and all the political speeches. At the end of the program, we say farewell to 2017' by talking about the movies we're excited to see as we get deeper into 2018.

This week we review the cultural phenomenon that is Marvel's "Black Panther" and for our Netflix homework, we discuss the sci-fi horror film "The Cloverfield Paradox." Keith also evades certain death via house spider, we go over some backed up movie news, and Cassidy talks about why he had to log onto facebook with stranger's cell phone.
